German term

Eingangsgebühr

German to English Bus/Financial Law: Taxation & Customs
This is from a ruling concerning the approval of a new specialty drug:

Ueberweisung von Gebuehren und Abgaben:
An fehlenden Eingangsgebuehren sind gemaess Gebuehrengesetz, BGBl. Nr. 267/1957, in der derzeit geltenden Fassung, zu entrichten:
XXX ATS

I assume it is some kind of administrative or registration fee, but I don't know the exact term.

Discussion

John Speese (asker) Dec 3, 2005:
No, the licensed holder is an Austrian firm, and this is an Austrian ruling concerning the distribution of the drug in Austria.
Kim Metzger Dec 3, 2005:
Is the drug being imported into Germany?

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks Kim, I decided to go with this, although the other answers would probably also work. "

entry fee

as Kim initially raised, I also felt, it was an item imported into the country for which entry fee (we call it import duty / customs duty)is payable.

one-time fee

or initial fee,
seems like a no-brainer to me, but who knows in any given context.

I was taking my clue from e.g., "wie eingangs erwähnt," etc.
It could also work as a substitute for more common words such as Eintrit, Zulassung, Einfuhr, Anmelde-.
