The hypertonic saline (salt water) acts as a solvent and washes the mucous crusts and other debris.

Inhaled hypertonic saline improves lung function in those with cystic fibrosis, according to the results of 2 studies reported in the January 19 issue of The New England Journal of Medicine.

"Inhaled hypertonic saline acutely increases mucociliary clearance and, in short-term trials, improves lung function in people with cystic fibrosis," write Mark R. Elkins, MHSc, from Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia, and colleagues from the National Hypertonic Saline in Cystic Fibrosis (NHSCF) Study Group. "Experimental data suggest that a long-term clinical trial evaluating the safety and efficacy of hypertonic saline as a treatment for cystic fibrosis is warranted."

अतिउच्च परासरणी दाब वाला लवणीय घोल

Hypertonic has two meanings:

1. in a state of abnormally high tension

2. of a solution; having a higher osmotic pressure than a comparison solution

Probably, the second meaning is relevant here.

अतिउच्च परासरणी दाब वाला लवणीय घोल

Hi EnglishHindi,

Nothing can be done about परासरणी as that is the technical term for osmotic in Hindi. For the rest, here is a simpler version of the above:

बहुत अधिक परासरणीय दाब वाला नमकीन घोल
Note from asker:
thank you the second meaning and your term both are relevant, but please guide me with more simpler term
