When local government officials get themselves elected, they call for the accreditation of local people’s organizations (POs) or non-government organizations (NGOs) so they could join local special bodies like the Bids and Awards Committee, the Local School Board, etc., but most often only those who are perceived to be “friendly” with the current local administration would get themselves accredited, especially if these POs and NGOs have connections with the existing local government officials.
