German term

Haustürwiderruf(srecht)

German to English Bus/Financial Law: Contract(s)
I suspect this is the law that allows one to step back from a contract within a certain period of time (not the same as cooling off period), but I'm not sure and I also am not sure of precise term in English.
Grateful for any help from legal experts

Discussion

Mary McCusker (asker) Sep 21, 2007:
door-to-door From what I can tell, the product (bank's investment advisory service) is not marketed door-to-door, so I think the term is used in its broader meaning. It's a bit difficult to tell, since the term appears on a terminology list - no context.
