Peer comment(s):

neutral Assem Mazloum : trust the Syrian Guy, it is مغفلة

closed (joint stock company)

A closed company is not allowed to admit any shareholders other than the founders or their heirs. It is closed to all others. After a minimum of two years it may float its part of its shares on the stock exchange in what is known as IPO (intial public offering). At that stage the company drops the "closed" part of its name and becomes a publicly held joint stock company.
