Dutch term

her- en narecherches

Dutch to English Law/Patents Government / Politics Land Registry

This is written by a company that supplies software to notary offices to facilitate the process of issuing deeds, registering property transfers, etc.

Discussion

writeaway Dec 10, 2007:
my apologies. I assumed you had it. sorry for that! someone will open their copy, am sure....
Johan Venter (asker) Dec 10, 2007:
Hi W - There is the problem. I am not a legal translator so I do not have a copy of Jurlex, nor would it be worth my while to get a copy of that as I intend to leave legal translations for those who are better qualified in that field than me. This is a busines related document (my field) with notary terms (not my field).
writeaway Dec 10, 2007:
hi Johan-if you look up the 2 terms (herrecherche and narecherche) separately in Jurlex, you'll find what you are looking for.

second and subsequent investigations

Jurlex translates this as "second title investigation" and "subsequent title investigation". However, I cannot find a confirmation for "subsequent title investigation". Although "subsequent title search" yields 26 Yahoo hits this isn't necessarily correct of course. It can refer to web search...

My best guess is: second and subsequent investigations

Note:
"second title investigation" yields ZERO Yahoo hits
"second title investigations" yields > 300 (fake) Yahoo hits but if you click on NEXT at the bottom of the search page... Yahoo will change its mind: 0 hits. (Google search isn't any better.)
Something went wrong...
