A gyakorlat ezeket az acélötvözeteket két csoportra osztja, amit a gyár fel is tüntet gyártmányain, VM- és VA - acélnak nevezi. A „VM - acél” 13-14 % krómot és 1-2 % nikkelt tartalmaz, rozsdamentes és némely savval szemben ellenálló. A „VA - acél” 18-20 % krómot tartalmaz és 8-9 % nikkelt és nemcsak rozsdamentes, hanem savakkal és egyéb vegyi anyagokkal szemben is teljesen ellenálló.

neutral István Hirsch : Biztosan jól visszafordítható, hiszen "le sem lett fordítva". Nem nemzetközi. Úgy hagyni egyszerűbb, mint megkeresni a magyar megfelelőt. Most ez a megrendelőre hárul, míg rájön, hogy a magyar szabványban legalább 50 éve szereplő KO(R) acélokról van szó.

Ez így igaz, a ritkaságát én is látom, de épp azért javaslom, mert ez egyben fejezi ki mindkettőt, s hidat ver a nemzetközi terminológiához, eleget téve a visszafordíthatóság követelményének is. A fordító transzlátor, nem szimplifikátor.

Vanadium is soft and ductile metal that has good resistance to corrosion.

Azok másjok. :)
neutral István Hirsch : Ezek nem korrózióálló, hanem nagyszilárdságú acélok. Az acélokat szokás az ötvözőkről elnevezni pl. Cr-Ni(-alloyed) steel, ilyenkor mindig a vegyjelet használják, ami a vanádium esetében V (pl. V-alloyed steel). Azaz VA nem jelentheti a V-ötvözést.

Csak példákat hoztam fel a va steelre. Azt hiszem, hogy az eredeti szöveg egy kicsit egyszerűsíti a kérdést, de ez nem változtat azon, hogy va steelt említenek, és ez nem a "VA steel AG", akiknek a website-ja sehol nem említ ilyen nevű terméket v. anyagot

(a Voest-Alpine által gyártott) saválló acél

Korábban volt hasonló kérdés. A vanádium nem ötvözője a saválló/korrózióálló acéloknak. Egy, az említett cég által gyártott saválló acélról lehet szó, de szerintem nem fontos jelen esetben kitenni a gyártót.

A zárójeles kifejezést nem kell kiírni, mert nem derül ki, hogy ténylegesen a VA Steel által gyártott acélról van-e szó, vagy csak arról, hogy valamikor ez az üzem nevezte el ezeket a saválló acélokat (németül) VA acéloknak. Mindenesetre most a (németül) VA-nak nevezett acélok olyan acélminőségeket tartalmaznak, amiket magyarul saválló acéloknak, tágabb értelemben korrózióálló acéloknak hívunk.

disagree juvera : A "Voest Alpine steel" a cég neve, nem az anyagé. Ha az anyagot így hívnák, akkor a mellette lenne a TM vagy R jel. De sehol nincs referencia kifejezetten a "va steel"-re amelyet a VA gyárt.
