Croatian term

terminalno pozitivan

Croatian to English Medical Medical (general)
Radi se o ozljedi kraljeznice i bolovima u ledjima. Sto bi u medicinskom zargonu znacila rijec terminalan? U mom kontekstu ne moze biti smrtan (u smilu terminally ill).
Evo recenice:

....bolno ogranicene kretnje u ramenu. Lumbalna PVM bolna. Lasegue obostrano terminalno pozitivan.

Hvala.

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

positive on the terminal end of humerus

.... positive

I have never read a Croatian medical letter ( don't sigh ), but I know this from medicine: Lasegue is a neurological testing method performed in the context of the physical exam... certainly not terminally ill, and no location. perhaps marginally positive

Ok, here it goes. lasegue is a test that is of use in diagnosing lumbar disc disorders and tension of the sciatic nerve. When the leg (straight)of the patient is lifted, teh patient may feel pain in the leg. So what they mean with terminal is that at the beginning of the test the patient does not feel pain, but when you progress raising the leg, the patient eventually feels pain. So, you can say simply terminalno pozitivan ( na kraju testa). PLEASE, it has nothing to do with humerus and the upper extremity. THAT IS WRONG!
