Discussion

Lianne van de Ven Jun 23, 2008:
Alles bij elkaar misschien: de ontvangst van een passende vergoeding wordt hierbij bevestigd (en als afdoende beschouwd). Zie google "ontvangst passende vergoeding bevestigd" (zonder "...")

Bedankt, Lianne. Weet je ook hoe "the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged" gewoonlijk wordt vertaald?

en tegen een passende vergoeding

In contract law consideration is required as an inducement to enter into a contract that is enforceable in the courts. It is an essential element for the formation of a contract. What constitutes sufficient consideration, however, has been the subject of continuing legal debate. Contracts and courts generally use the term valuable consideration to signify consideration sufficient to sustain an enforceable agreement.

The whole phrase means something along the lines of 'in exchange for a trade-off against something legally acceptable and of appreciable worth'. (and more....)
