English term

a man's gift is his anger

English to Latin Art/Literary
This translation is for a tattoo. The client wants it to say something closer to "anger is a gift, used wisely". Here is what he had to say: "Anger is a gift" is a quote from Rage Against the Machine. It basically means that anger is better than fear, cowardice, depression. It means that one should fight back when oppressed, and that we should not be manipulated by those around us.

ira est arma

It means: "anger is a weapon"
I suggest this because it is short and with an inner rhyme.

agree David Wigtil : The English is modern psychobabble...the Latin is ancient Roman directness, without dissimulation!
