Also, if someone could help clarify the nuances between the following areas of law:
English:
business law, commercial law, corporate law, mercantile law.
Spanish:
derecho de la empresa, derecho empresarial, derecho corporativo, derecho mercantil, derecho de negocios
They appear to overlap and it seems that they can all be covered, at least in some form of their contations, by the term business law.

Comment: "After further review with the customer and as in the context "derecho de la empresa" is used synonymously with "derecho empresarial" I have decided to go with the broadest term "business law" as corporate/company law is too narrow.

business law - very broad term, covering commercial, corporate and financial law. This is akin to using "vehicle" to refer to cars, buses, bikes and the like.
commercial law - usually refers to the law of contracts
corporate law - deals specifically with companies, how they are formed, governed, dissolved, etc.
mercantile law - I think this is an archaic phrase - akin to business law or maybe commercial law.

Companies Law can also be referred to as Company Law.
commercial law - usually refers to the law of contracts
