what i'm looking for exactly I'm looking for the character or whatever the Hindi language looks like, the word for Nirvana. So it's in hindi.. like a symbol of nirvana in their language.

nirvaNa

I feel one should use nirvaNa without any translation as it is a well understood and accepted term.

nirvaNa is widely used in Buddism, Hinduism and Jainism and actual definition is a complex one and very much context sensitive.

as you also explained in simplest form it is-
An ideal condition of rest, harmony, stability, or joy.

Julia has asked for english-hindi translation, but nirvana is already a Hindi word. I am not sure what Julia is looking for.
If she is looking for an english word of nirvana then I agree with langclinic -salvation is the nearest english word.

But I feel nirvana of Hindi is a very speciifc term and to keep the meaning intact one can use nirvana as such. other proz, pls. give your opinion.

You should have mentioned in your question initially as to what exactly you do want.

It has now become clear that you want this in Hindi language. As you may be aware, Hindi is written in Devnagri script and we don\'t have access to the same in the instant case. You should intimate your e-mail ID so that one can send you this word in Hindi language as an attachment alongwith the relevant font.
