Russian term
высокопроходимая (машина)
Russian to English
Tech/Engineering
Military / Defense
Hard to believe that this word isn't in the Callaham or Alford technical dictionaries. It seems common enough as the description of jeeps, etc. I can't think of what we would say in English.

In the context of Jeep, it could be bantam vehicle or off-road vehicle, but in the military sphere it would still be "all-terrain" most probably.

Jeep ... is the oldest off-road vehicle.
The original vehicle which first appeared as the prototype Bantam BRC became the primary light 4-wheel-drive vehicle of the US Army and allies during the World War II and postwar period. Many vehicles serving similar military and civilian roles have since been created by many nations.
Off-road vehicle
An off-road vehicle is considered to be any type of vehicle which is capable of off-roading on and off Pavement or gravel surface. It is generally characterized by having large tires with deep, open treads and a flexible suspension , or even caterpillar tracks....

Also, I've looked through some of the defense contractors sites and they have (in addition to all-terrain): heavy-duty vehicles and high mobility vehicles. Here's the example: http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:AZTRI8skD9kJ:www.astratr...
Both heavy duty and high-mobility seem to be used in connection with trucks and transport vehicles.

Discussion
The first member of a new family of high-mobility military vehicles is now being manufactured for the U.S. Army and the Marine Corps.
A production contract for the M-561 one and one quarter ton GAMA GOAT has been awarded to the Consolidated Diesel Electric Co. which will manufacture about 13,000 vehicles for the Army and 2,000 for the Marine Corps.
Scheduled to replace the M-37 three quarter ton truck and trailer in forward areas, the GAMA GOAT is a separate tractor and carrier connected so that power is transmitted to the carrier wheels.
In addition to high cross-country mobility, the vehicle can swim or be airdropped with a full load. (ANF)
