Estoy traduciendo un artículo científico para publicación en revista arbitrada, que se titula "Comportamiento reológico y determinación del tamaño de los agregados por microscopía electrónica de transmición y la técnica de criofractura en mezclas asfaltenos-maltenos. Relación entre ambos parámetros". En la introducción, dice:

Envasado tiende a traducirse como packaging, pero no me termina de cuadrar aquí. También he visto "bottling", pero eso solo aplica a ciertos fluidos. ¿Se les ocurre algún término más general que se pueda aplicar a fluidos? Muchas gracias por adelantado.

Thanks, Michelle. Is "containment" actually used that way? I think of it as "restraining the spread of" something dangerous. But you could well be right. I certainly agree with your reasoning--we need a general term here, in lieu of exact info.

: Yes, this is a clean translation. And there is no need to worry about fluid vs. liquid. It just so happens that, in this case, the fluid is a liquid (as opposed to a gas).
