Static Test - This procedure entails removing the connector from the Generator Unit and checking with the ohmmeter from designated sockets in the Generator Unit connector to various other designated points in the system. Bear in mind that the ohmmeter test leads will usually have a small resistance, say .1 to .4 ohms, so before starting, **short the probes together** and get this reading. Subtract this reading from all point to point readings.

La respuesta de Aitor tiene un 10 como traductor. Pero lamentablemente los electricistas, y los ex electricistas, no hablamos así. Por otra parte no son sondas, como parece, sino las comunes y silvestres puntas de prueba del ohmímetro. Y el procedimiento es el correcto, al puentear las puntas de prueba el electricista está midiendo la resistencia de las puntas, sus cables y conexiones, es decir, está corrigiendo el "cero" del instrumento.
