English term

post-servant

English to French Art/Literary History excerpt from a novel by Kate Atkinson
context :
'an estate of modern comfortable housing for the post-war, post-servant world of small families'.
Any help to translate into French 'post servant' ?
Merci !

faut savoir quelle sera la structure de la phrase dans son intégralité - pour les familles d'après-guerre, moins nombreuses et sans domestiques, par exemple

neutral Tony M : Y-e-s — but doesn't that rather miss out the idea of 'post-'? I.e. that there used to be, but aren't any more? I think it's a shame to lose the author's nice turn of phrase.
