Als G voor de bedrijfsnaam staat, dan is de correcte vertaling/schrijfwijze G-prestatiesysteem, of liever nog Prestatiesysteem van G. Desnoods (om de afkorting duidelijk te maken) G-PrestatieSysteem, maar in ieder geval een streepje en verder aan elkaar.

Found something else... "GPS" in another text by the same person is explained as being "G. Performance System" where G. is the name of the company, which I shall not mention here. So I suppose the best way to go is "Manager GPS en Kwaliteit" and translate "G. Performance System" in the text as "G. Prestatie Systeem".

In any case, thanks for your help so far!

He (also) works on environmental issues If it helps at all, this person has written a text on CO2 emission reduction measures in the company. To me, this has to do with business improvements as well as (to a degree) safety issues, hence the confusion.

same or different? It seems to me that GPS as 'general product safety' is a whole different job than 'continuous improvement' (problem solving?) - in the linked-in profile as well as in both answers provided. Maybe better check with client?

Het Engelse Director is vaag en Fransen houden van mooie titels voor een grote verscheidenheid aan zelf bedachte functies, dus je weet niet exact wat het inhoudt, lijkt me. GPS zou General Problem Solver kunnen zijn. Als je geen duidelijkheid krijgt, lijkt "Manager GPS & kwaliteitsbewaking" me een veilige vertaling.

Both the US and UK have General Product Safety Directives (GPSD).

It looks likely that this is the meaning in this context
