German term

Kontingentierung

German to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Software
...vs. Quotierung

Context: "E-Mail Kontingentierung" und "Druckerquotierung".

Is there a difference between the two terms? Would it be correct to translate them as 'Email Quota' and 'Print Quota' ?

The document is a user manual for a software product.

Thanks for any help !

quota allocation

I think it's not just the quota that is involved here, but the allocation as well.
Peer comment(s):

agree Sebastian Tredinnick : I agree about allocation being involved too.

quota(s)

Yes, I would say that "quota" is the term used for emails as well, the difference being that printer quotas are normally alloted as the number of pages that can be printed, and email quotas are allotted as disc space, i.e. the size of the storage required for them on the server side.

Hier noch ein kleiner Text mit einer ganz kurzen Einführung zum Thema und ein paar Beispielen. In diesem Falle wird der Begriff "Quota" gleich auch im Dt. verwendet:
