English term

have a fez

English to Danish Art/Literary Cinema, Film, TV, Drama
What does it mean to "have a fez".... it doesn't mean to have such type of hat ... but I have no clue.

Example: "I had a fez on a guy"
Proposed translations (Danish)
2 Have det sjovt
1 være varm på

Proposed translations

1 hr

Have det sjovt

Jeg ved ikke om der er nogen sammenhæng overhovedet, men på tysk kan man bruge udtrykket "fez machen" om at have det sjovt. Det skulle ifølge linket nedenfor komme af fransk "fête" = fest. Men som sagt, virkelig kun et gæt.

I'm assuming here that they are substituting the word fez for thing i.e. "I had a thing on a guy". Because a fez is a foreign, unknown, hat thing.

"To have a thing for somebody" means that you are attracted to them.

I also thought her "to have tickets on somebody" which literally means you have the right to the next dance, but more broadly means that you believe you have the first rights to the person.
