Spanish term

sociabilización

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Human Resources
This term comes from a report on the switchover from old software to new software at a large company, in the area of technical support for the transition:

CONTEXT: "En las últimas semanas, los miembros del equipo de OCM han brindado soporte a los equipos de proyecto y de RRHH en las distintas localidades para asegurar una transición exitosa. El foco ha estado en las actividades de entrenamiento y data, y en la sociabilización del modelo de soporte."

Sofía Bolontrade Oct 19, 2011:
Yes, I think the same (still wondering)....that is why I only provided the reference (to help) but did not post that as an answer. Thanks!
lorenab23 Oct 19, 2011:
Since they are talking about bringing support to the project and HR people by training them, I wonder if they are talking about familiarizing them with the model.
Just a thought...

fine tuning*

*Sociabilización is a fairly new word (to make more social), but I notice that many writers are using it when they really mean socialización. It would be worth asking the client which he or she really meant to express. "Socialización" here could be "user acceptance" or "social acceptance."

Wasn't quite happy with that: maybe popularisation is better
Peer comment(s):

agree philgoddard : Yes, could be. it's a vague concept in Spanish, and it needs a vague one in English.
