Discussion

broca (asker) Nov 3, 2011:
Desde un punto de vista constructivo, la ejecución de la obra del monasterio necesitó de una pléyade de artífices... (Historical narrative)
Jaime Hyland Nov 3, 2011:
Any of your suggestions might fit. It depends on what sort work is/was being done, amongst other things -- like what sort of text this is (a historical narrative, a description of building works, or whatever).
philgoddard Nov 3, 2011:
Yes, you're not giving us enough context with any of your questions.
Jenni Lukac (X) Nov 3, 2011:
It will depend upon several factors, such as whether the building is still considered a gothic structure, or whether it has subsequently been altered and reflects the styles of various periods. More specific text would be helpful.

This happens to me all the time. Askers should be clear about what they need right from the beginning. I requested, and waited for, more information.

Thanks very much, John.
neutral Jim Tucker (X) : presumably just a part of the monastery is Gothic, not the whole thing, hence the specificity of the asker's text (as your discussion note hints - but I think the text is less ambiguous)

Thanks for your comment, Jim. If the asker has more text, he or she will figure it out from the narrative.

It's not clear but the monastery could be composed of different styles, including Gothic. See example below.

The first part of the cloisters to be built was the south side (the side nearest the church) followed by the west, north and east sides. The final part to be constructed was the Chapter House, completed in about 1250 and, by that time, ***the architectural style had changed to the Gothic**, with its pointed arches and ribbed ceilings.
