Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (3): Tom in London, K Donnelly, Umberto Cassano

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Isabelle Johnson Feb 14, 2012:
Yes I agree. I think with panoramic views or similar sounds much better.
Russell Jones Feb 14, 2012:
Sara has asked me to justify my Neutral comment. To my mind, a view or landscape can be panoramic but not the place from which it is seen (unlike the Italian usage). I stand ready to be corrected - which is why I used the expression "Sounds ..." and gave a Neutral rather than a Disagree.

balcony with panoramic views

I'd be inclined to go for this. The word terrace is mainly used in Italian sites and the same goes for panoramic terrace. For this e.g:
Main Beach Apartments - Carrington Court, Gold Coast
www.carringtoncourt.com.au/apartments - Traduci questa pagina
Each apartment has sliding doors opening out onto a spacious wrap around balcony with panoramic views of the scenic Pacific coastline, perfect for alfresco ...

Sorry, meant to put 4 as confidence level! Anyway, it IS a very common expression and not just on Italian websites.

roof terrace

Very often the "terrazza panoramica" of a hotel is a roof terrace.
If asker has the right kind of info and is able to confirm, this is probably it.
**Roof Terrace**
Peer comment(s):

Grazie Sara. Ma non hai letto: If asker has the right kind of info and is able to confirm ....

terrace with wonderful views

Possibly, but not always, a "roof terrace". Probably not a "balcony", which would be smaller.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Sara Maghini : Agree with both your points here, a balcony is smaller, and it might not be a roof terrace...it's safer to avoid giving potential misleading info and overtranslations.
