Einaudi, Adelphi, Garzanti, Rizzoli, Mondadori - tanto per citare i più numerosi nella mia biblioteca - usano le maiuscole solo per la parola iniziale e i nomi propri.

Barbara, basta che dai una scorsa alla tua biblioteca personale e vedere i titoli in copertina. Parlo per esperienza di professionista editoriale e filologa. Basta leggere attentamente anche i manuali di stile, se proprio ti serve. Il Serianni non mi pare sia dell'idea del Lesina, che non ho sottomano. Io cmq parlavo di USO COMUNE, non di REGOLA. La chiudo qui, senza problemi. Per me è fuorviante quel che dici tu, perché nella mia biblioteca quel che dici NON RISULTA nemmeno in un solo caso.

Giusi Mi spiace, ma affermare che lo stile italiano per i titoli di libri, film e CD è con le iniziali maiuscole per i nomi comuni è fuorviante.
Il Manuale di Stile del Lesina (Zanichelli) riporta chiaramente le regole da seguire in italiano, e questa non è contemplata.

It depends on the nature of your text Depending on what this is for, I would alternatively go with Andrea's option - unlike English, titles are never capitalized in Italian, apart from the starting letter - or Zerlina's suggestion and spelling, if what you have is an essay on Vivaldi's music with a philological approach to his works, where other elements would come into play.
As an example, take a look at the results page for the title on Amazon,

Look at this playbill for a concert. It seems quite convincing to me for what concerns the capitalizing. Only it's a pdf and you have to open it yourself,

grazie! but, as Barbara says, it's probably just a way to please Englishmen, and for the -t-, that was the original way of writing the word:-))
agree Giusi Pasi : When dealing with LITERARY titles,also in Italian the initial letters of the terms (not articles and prepositions) are capitalized. In replying to Barbara, just think of movies, books, etc.: "Il Gattopardo"; "Il Padrino", etc.
