It seems likely to me that they have pre-bought 'licences' entitling them to so much extra storgae space as necessary, and each time they want to implement extra storage, they simply use one of their pre-bought licences to obtain the code to unlock the storage. All a bit like Luncheon Vouchers!

: I doubt the users have to give in their software licenses to get some additional storage space.... It's much more likely that each software license they own entitles them to some additional storage space - It's a sentence, not just an isolated word...

De plus, je ne trouve que sidefx utilisant ce terme comme cela, je soupconne qu'ils utilisent en fait 'redeem a license' pour 'redeem a license [code]'.

So it seems to me that perhaps they have already paid for a whole load of licences, and they are now seeking to use one of these licences to activate a particular product / feature.
