Game (about battles in the outer space)
W: I will be accompanying you on this mission to ensure as much, although I will remain purely in an observational capacity.
M: Let's just hope this doesn't turn into a running commentary.
W: Well, maybe we can make this the last dangerous mission? You can't expect me to sit here worrying about you while you're out all the time flying into suns!
Would you please rephrase the second sentence? And in the last sentence, "suns"? Shouldn't it be "sun" or "the sun"? Thanks a lot!!

I hope that, when we get into trouble, you help me out
And it's "suns" - there are multiple missions.

Let's hope that we don't repeat this conversation/situation over and over
Without more context, I can't be sure, but it seems that there is a "running" joke here. Does this character (W) continually say that he is accompanying M and is going along only as an observer? I agree that "suns" is not a mistake if this is science fiction or fantasy.
