Groeistadia BBCH van bessen (currants)
Principal growth stage 5: Inflorescence emergence
51 Inflorescence buds and leaf buds swelling: buds closed, light brown scales visible
53 Bud burst: scales separated light green but sections visible
54 Green or red leaf red leaf tips above bud scales tips above bud scales
55 First flower buds (compact raceme) visible beside unfolded leaves
56 Beginning of raceme elongation
57 First flower bud separated on elongating raceme
59 Grape stage: all flower buds separated

A panicle is a compound raceme, a loose, much-branched indeterminate inflorescence with pedicellate flowers (and fruit) attached along the secondary branches; in other words, a branched cluster of flowers in which the branches are racemes.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panicle

Vrucht stadium / druif stadium

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ribes

flower racemes reach the 'grape bud’ stage
Look for signs of the big bud mite infestation in black currants—abnormally swollen buds on young shoots. The mites migrate from these infested buds when they open in spring and spread infestation. If present, spray the bushes with lime-sulphur (3 % concentration) when the flower racemes reach the 'grape bud’ stage, or the leaves about the size of a shilling — usually at end of March or early April. If sulfur-shy varieties —'Davison's 8', 'Wellington XXX’ — are grown, reduce concentration to 2% lime-sulphur.

Research at the Horticultural Research Institute found that the variety Magnus can lose 60% of its fruit if the overwintering buds are subjected to 2°C for two days when the fruit buds are at the grape stage, the period when the fruit buds are just beginning to expand (usually one or two weeks before flowering).

Grape stage
i. Breaking: Stage at which scales of fruit tree blossom buds begin to separate at bud apex.
ii. Burst: Stage at which fruit tree blossom buds show separated leaf tips emerging from bud apex.
iii. Cot-split: Stage shortly after petal-fall in stone-fruit when dead calyx splits to reveal small fruitlet.
iv. Fruitlet: Stage in some fruit development 2-3 weeks after petal-fall.
_^ v. Grape: Blossom-bud stage (in black currants) at which unopened flowers are revealed in tight clusters ^_
vi. Green-flower (green-cluster): Blossom-bud stage of tree fruits at which unopened flower buds are tightly clustered within a rosette of opened leaves.

flowering black currant + picture
Blackcurrant flowers are attached to a stem or “strig” with the oldest flower at the base nearest the bud and the youngest at the tip. Each “strig” carries from 10 to 20 flowers and some buds also produce 1 or 2 shorter secondary strigs. Following bud burst and the emergence of the first 2 leaves, the flower clusters begin to be visible and from this stage they become susceptible to frost.
The flowers change colour from pink/green to red as the clusters emerge fully to hang from the bud cluster in the characteristic “grape” stage. The flowers open in succession, starting at the base of the strig. The basal flowers are less exposed and obtain better nutrition than the tip flowers which may be frosted or fail to set fruit. Basal fruits may be twice the weight of later pollinated tip fruits, set more seeds & have longer to grow.

Hallo Ghislaine,
druivenknopstadium
