correction slip
Not much context given, so low confidence.

: Yes, the difficulty without more context is how to translate "bordereau" accurately. Again, with more context then "correction", could be "corrective", "replacement", "adjusted"...

More context can be seen by looking at page 8 of:
http://www.encheres-paris.com/pns/upload/cahier/5151-CahierD...
which reads as follows:
The first page of the following French-English bilingual document:
https://public.cfpsa.com/en/aboutus/library/policiesandregul...
provides proof for my suggested translation.
Example sentence:
BORDEREAU RECTIFICATIF DE L'ESCM ET DES COMPTES CLIENTS
SMC AND ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ADJUSTMENT SHEET

: provides proof? wow! // In my opinion, different contexts require different translations. But maybe that's just me.

My working assumption on context: 1. finance because the question was placed in the General Finance section of KudoZ and/or 2. legal because of: a) the source text segment and/or b) because of the contents of page 8 from CFPSA.com, see above

In my opinion, bilingual text containing the source term from a reputable source can be regarded as providing supporting evidence for a given translation.

Colin Smith
: Am looking for this term in the mortgage context exactly as you quote above, but the translation you suggest is clearly an accounting term! (with apologies for resuscitating a "thread from the dead" LOL)
