Discussion

Alistair_ Nov 9, 2012:
School Catering Services The school could well issue invoices to parents stating something like school catering services, whether they use in-house staff, local autorities, or private contractors it's probably irrelevant, that's the point I'm trying to make, the level of control the school has over the food is probably not the issue here. Hope it makes sense.
Tony M Nov 9, 2012:
@ Alistair That's exactly the point: are these invoices from catering suppliers that the school must pay, or rather, the bills sent out to parents for the children's school meals? It really does make an important difference "which way round" it is!
Alistair_ Nov 9, 2012:
Guys, is your dilemma whether the meals have actually been prepared at school or they have bought them from someone else? Cos I'm not entirely sure it makes a difference here..
Besides, being a title of a dossier, would you rather have school meals invoices nursery school xxx, or catering invoices nursery school xxx?
Tony M Nov 9, 2012:
Context Exactly! But who is involved? Is this something to do with the parents? And what country?
shweta kheria (asker) Nov 9, 2012:
@ Tony This is actually title of a document to be submitted in the court for a case along with family record book, copy of passports, vitale card certificate etc..
Tony M Nov 9, 2012:
Context More of your overall context is necessary in order to clear up potential ambiguity here.

What country is this from?
Who is sending these 'factures' to whom?

catering invoice

my take
Peer comment(s):

neutral Tony M : Probably, but does depend on the exact context: are these bills from suppliers for the raw materials? Or maybe the bills sent out to parents for the school meals? I'm pretty sure it is indeed the former, but more context would certainly be reassuring.

Yes, more context would be nice. Case against whom? Catering company maybe?
agree Daryo : ... pour les mois de décembre 2011... looks like a recurring bill - school meals most likely, very thin chance of it being the "restoration" of the school building.

agree Wolf Draeger : Seems the school owes XXX for unpaid catering services.

school meals invoice

Is this the invoice for the parents of children who eat at school? If so then school meals invoice/bill may be fine. If this is referring to the company which provides the service, then the term may or may not need adjusting.
More context? The sentence before perhaps?
Peer comment(s):

agree Tony M : That's what I was trying to get Asker to tell us, Nikki, as I very much suspect this is the case.

Mess Fee

In Asian terms we just translate as " Mess Fee". The boarding and lodging fee sent to the parents monthly or on a quarterly basis separately itemizes the fee for the food served to their wards as
' Mess fee'.

Hope it helps.
