| No, "pozaeksploatacyjna" doesn't refer to the stage after the quarry closes. It is part of the deposit that is not fit for mining due to technical difficulties or costs that are too high, as far as I understand the definition from Wikipedia (http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straty_pozaeksploatacyjne). And, as the material is not extracted and remains in the ground untouched, I'm afraid the word "waste" wouldn't work either... the Polish term is quite misleading I think. |
