preschool and preK Thanks, MollyRose!
MollyRose Feb 25, 2013:
preescolar Our school district (U.S.) has preschool and preK, so we translate them preescolar and prekínder, respectively. PreK is the year just before kindergarten (4-yr-olds, basically), and preschool is for younger (3-year-olds). The asker might want to make sure which meaning of "preescolar" is meant in context.

Office of the Superintendent of PreschoolEducation Thanks for the prompt response!

Office of the Superintendent of Pre-K Education

There's no exact equivalent in the United States (no two educational systems are fully equivalent), hence my verbatim translation.
