Discussion

Zilin Cui Apr 25, 2013:
yield is both a noun and a verb.
verb: a bottle yields xxx servings/xxx liters
noun: increase the yield of... high yield...
Macarena Perez Corrales (asker) Apr 25, 2013:
As a noun? It sounds wierd:
On the other hand, achieving more than the standard stipulated yield is crucial...
Zilin Cui Apr 25, 2013:
in that case it's "yield"
Macarena Perez Corrales (asker) Apr 25, 2013:
There isn't much context in the sentence in itself. It is for powdered juice. They are trying to propose a packaging that "rinde" more.
George Rabel Apr 25, 2013:
Yield? That's another possibility, as in "a bottle yields 2.5 servings." Context is crucial
Zilin Cui Apr 25, 2013:
sounds like whatever is in the bottle is to be diluted and used... in which case rende can mean yields/makes depending on the context.
Zilin Cui Apr 25, 2013:
more context is needed here. Is it some sort of concentrated juice? rendimiento by itself usually means performance, but that may or may not be the case here.

How many servings....?

Looking at powdered drinks on the Internet, it looks like they talk about how many servings a tub can produce. See for example:

http://www.amazon.com/Amazing-Grass-SuperFood-60-Servings-17...

So my suggestion would be to move away from "yield" completely and go with something along the lines of "how many servings are there in a tub/bottle of XXX?"

The performance

Rendimiento suele traducirse por "performance" aunque tengo mis dudas sobre la referencia a la botella.
