Danish term

stort koncept (in this context)

Danish to English Other International Org/Dev/Coop
The phrase appears in a monitoring report about development work in Africa, e.g., on the cover as "Stort koncept" as part of the title and "Normalt påkræves det at XXX’s medlemsorganisation også deltager på en monitoreringsrejse efter det store koncept."

I have a feeling it might be internal jargon employed by the organization in question, but I thought I'd check here first.

Please don't submit "great concept" or "large concept" or "big concept" as an answer unless you can link it to some idiomatic usage in this context.

the broader concept

Speaking of "broad concepts" seems to be used quite a lot in English nowadays (just a quick search on Google shows a number of hits).

Whether or not this applies to your context as a whole is up to you, though, I suppose.

I hope this helps anyway.

NB, if I was given the sentence to translate, I would probably close it "... in accordance with the broader concept".
Note from asker:
"Broad concept" sounds pretty good to me. Thanks!
