Norwegian term
verdipapirgjeld
Norwegian to English
Bus/Financial
Finance (general)
In the context of loans. So far I have been translating this as "securities liabilities", but I'm unsure if this is correct and my financial dictionary is proving unhelpful.
Here's the context: "Totale utlån med pant i bolig utgjorde XXXX mill. kroner og verdipapirgjelden i form av obligasjoner med fortrinnsrett var på XXXX mill. kroner ved årsskiftet."
Many thanks for any suggestions in advance.

mortgage bonds
mortgage bonds, or "Mortgage-backed security" to be more precise.
But I'd use the term "mortgage bonds" in your context here.

Or if you need to be more specific:
RMBS - Residential Mortgage Backed Securities, or
CMBS - Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities
