French term

date de terrain

French to English Marketing Marketing / Market Research Customer satisfaction survey
This term appears in a market research survey and I assume refers to the date/time period during which the survey took place. Is there a specific term for this? Unfortunately I don't have any more context I can provide as this appears as a stand-alone term.

Many thanks

Louise

Without more context Louise, nothing more than a literal translation, or near literal translation will be possible, which helps you not a jot!

...as you suggest. The term appears widely in the kind of format in the example sentence:

Example sentence:

Date de terrain : du 3 au 6 septembre 2013. Méthode : Échantillon interrogé par Internet.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I have to give Mark the points here as he helped me in time. However, I do think Marionlam's suggestion of 'survey period' perhaps better describes the notion."

Survey period

A survey takes place over a period often longer than one day. I think this is a broader term.

Many thanks for your input Marionlam, it's a good point to bear in mind!
