cauterisation

In my copy of Cressy I have noted down "etsa" as "cauterise", which must mean that I had to translate that verb some time ago. Cauterisation is what I'd assume here.

agree eodd : or etse. I had wondered about this and how etching could be part of surgical haemostasis.
