slight haziness on the nasal side

It is unimportant if one says blurring or haziness - it means essentially the same thing.

What is important is realizing that this is a description of the optic nerve. It is the image of the optic nerve which is hazy on the nasal side, not the field of vision. One knows this from the context. Blurred vision can be ascertained only by a visual acuity check, not by looking at the eye with any instrument. The entire sentence deals only with a description of the optic nerve and retina.

Also, Hb is just shorthand for hemorrhage.

Note about the Hb: You are correct that it is translated literally as hemoglobin, but what he is really saying is that there is no hemorrhage/microhemorrhage. Hb is just a shorthand.
