I've done a bit of research into the word TUSKA in the Icelandic dictionary.
Definition 5 says the following, giving an example:
e.k. gæluorð: svona, tuskan mín.
Would that SVONA mean (IT’S INDEED) SO/LIKE THAT?
(I take it that e.k. = eins konar)

"Svona" is also used to comfort or encourage someone(there, there).
Tuska is usually a bad word, meaning for instance that someone looks or dresses in a bad way. In this example, however, it is clearly not in a negative meaning.
I know you already know that the direct translation of tuska is a rag, but the ragdoll was just my idea.
