Swedish term

inredningslängd

Swedish to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering interiors
utrymmet för inredningslängden för förvaring vara som minst 1;20 meter brett

utrymmet för inredningsländen för matlagning vara som minst 1,80 meter brett

I know exactly what the term means, and I think it's fairly obvious upon first reading, but I have no idea of the proper term in English. However, I suspect there is no "real" translation because the Svensk köksstandard is so specific; http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svensk_köksstandard.

I've found a couple of instances of "interior length," but they are from quite poor translations and appear to have relied heavy on MT. There is a discussion here on the same term for SV-FI, but that didn't help me much either; http://www.proz.com/kudoz/swedish_to_finnish/construction_ci...

Thanks!

I wonder if you can use anything here?

There does not seem to be a single term that covers inredningslängd precisely, but there is a lot of discussion about counter tops, worktops, heights and dimensions here.

If it is accessible, the same principles apply, even if you do not always need to take wheelchair turning radius etc. into consideration.

Skip the general introduction and scroll down to the details.
You will find more by googling Accessible Housing Design or something like that.
