Spanish to English Medical Medical: Pharmaceuticals

I am translating a document for a Mexican pharmaceutical company. I am currently working on a list of definitions. Here is the definition in which the term in question appears:

Maquila: al proceso o etapa de un proceso involucrado en la fabricación de un medicamento, realizado por un establecimiento diferente del titular del *registro sanitario*; puede ser nacional, internacional, temporal o permanente.
