please come forward!
Robert Adamowicz (asker) Mar 11, 2015:
Dear Klamm,

Thank you for contacting the ProZ.com support center.

Please note that duplicate questions should not be made unnecessary.

If you want to have this question re-open then please remember that except in cases of abuse, ProZ.com policy is that before an answer can be ungraded, both the asker and the answerer who originally received the points must agree to ungrade that answer. If you can obtain approval from the answerer you originally selected (by asking the selected answerer to submit a support request specifying the KudoZ question to be un-graded and stating s/he agrees with this action), I will be happy to change the grade for you.

Hope this helps!

Please let me know if you need anything else.

Best regards,

Yana Dovgopol

Darius Saczuk Feb 3, 2015:
@Klamm Fachowcy odrzucili "personal check", zatem proszę o odemknięcie pytania. Pozdrawiam.
Kasia Bogucka Jan 28, 2015:
@ASKER Dzielę się insider's knowledge (5 lat pracy w banku w kraju anglojęzycznym), choć w sumie po ostatniej Twojej decyzji bardzo niechętnie.

Kind thanks, Frank.
neutral Jacek Kloskowski : Dariusz, sorry, I must disagree, a "personal check" means a check written against personal checking account, payable to a company or individual alike.

neutral Jacek Kloskowski : Sorry, I must disagree, a registered or certified check is a check with guaranteed/reserved funds, issued by the bank: http://financial-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Registered...

Pamiętam to wyrażenie z czasów gdy mieszkałam w Londynie - albo bearer's cheque albo registered; ale może mi się coś tu pomyliło - to było dawno

check (made out to/payable to X)

In general, it is referred to as just a "check" (payable to a company or individual). In contrast, a check may be made out to the "bearer" or "cash". e.g. "na okaziciela"
Peer comment(s):

agree LilianNekipelov : yes--more universal.

Account payee cheque

That's what it's known as in the UK. Please note the Br Eng spelling
Peer comment(s):

neutral Kasia Bogucka : Muszę tym razem naprostować: 'account payee' dotyczy tylko czeków krosowanych.
