Swedish term

mindrevärden

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Construction / Civil Engineering tender evaluation
'mervärden' and 'mindrevärden' are values used to add or substract qualifiying points in a tender evaluation, Is there an eqivalent for mindrevärden in English?

Not my area at all, but couldn't you use positive and negative scores?

"surplus value" -- if used in a Marxist sense

I would like to pitch in and say that "positive score" or "negative score" does not seem right to me. "Mervärden" in swedish is not about points (in my experinece), but rather about adding som kind of value to something, such as a positive emotional connotation or something that gives the object an extra value to someone with a certain need.

However, if "mervärde" is used in a Marxist sense, the term "surplus value" seems to be a legitimate translation.

Filip
