Spanish term

use of "recurrida" in Venezuela

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) procedural law - Venezula
In a recently dated judgment from Venezuela, the word "recurrida" apparently can mean the appellant, the appeals court or even the written judgment of the appeals court. Has anyone run into a similar situation of these multiple meanings? This is a new one for me!

Question term in all its contexts, please. Asker wrote: the word "recurrida" apparently can mean the appellant, the appeals court or even the written judgment of the appeals court.

It would be exceedingly useful to see examples of sentences in which Asker thinks it has each of those meanings. My guess, in the absence of such evidence, is that Asker is parsing the ST incorrectly.

agree Jennifer Levey : That's certainly the general case (i.e., where 'recurrida' is a straightforward noun).

Yes, la sentencia recurrida would have a different meaning. Context context context......
agree Taña Dalglish : I think so too without the benefit of any useful context despite several prompts.https://books.google.com.jm/books?id=HaciB16ED5AC&pg=PA28&lp...

In this context... here is an example:..."The Board of Appeal may, however, if it considers that circumstances so require, suspend the application of the contested decision".

disagree Jennifer Levey : Amongst all things 'recurrida' might mean (in the absence of meaningful context...), that is the most obvious thing it cannot mean.
