Without more context, I'm out on a limb here…but Übersetzung does not equal Übertragung (transmission) - the spring force is not simply being transferred, but this design probably involves a change in ratio.
Is this a belt drive in which the conical tensioner [I know you are bound by the glossary but…] allows the force ratio to be varied?

: "Ratio" weist auf jeden Fall in die richtige Richtung, obwohl es mir eher nicht so klingt, als stünden verschiedene Übersetzungsverhältnisse zur Verfügung. Das ist aber ohne weiteren Kontext nicht zu entscheiden.

I believe the core here is physics, and "Übersetzung" would be "transmission". Mehrrfache Übersetzung - you might want to consult google on "mehrfachübersetzung maschinen". In the end I only found one website which has directly translated your German word to my proposed English answer. It's about wine grape pressing mechanics, but I think the principle is right in your context. Whether their translation is the best - I do not know.

Der Fachbegriff ist für Übersetzung ist hier tatsächlich "mechanical advantage", aber da fällt es mir schwer, "Federkraft" und "mehrfach" noch unterzubringen.
Unter Umständen kann man den Sachverhalt aber ebenso gut gemeinsprachlich formulieren, zum Beispiel: "multiplication the spring force".
Der Laie wird vermutlich das Fehlen von "multiple" bemängeln, aber mathematisch ist das in diesem Fall natürlich äquivalent, außer wenn die Übersetzung tatsächlich in mehreren Stufen vorgenommen wird. Da fehlt dann Kontext.
