When would it be appropriate to use a green data plug to download data?
The green data plug would be used to download trips when no Over the Air (OTA) was available
The green data plug would be used most of the time as it saves costs
A green data plug can perform many functions and typically can be used to complete any of the OTA functions that may exist in the scheduler.
I have a few possibilities for this term (which I found on termium, mainly)

Communication sans fil

Can anyone tell me which one fits the context best, or even suggest another possible (context-relevant) translation?
It seems to be referring to a system which allows for the downloading of information onto mobile devices (unless I am mistaken)
