Comment traduiriez-vous cette phrase. Je connaissais l'expression "to be tears before bedtime" mais adapté à une chose ou une situation pas à une personne.
Le contexte : un homme parle d'une femme ("this woman") qui s'est marié par intérêt avec un homme, s'est fait faire une enfant et a ensuite demandé le divorce avant de s'enfuir avec l'enfant, ce qui évidemment a rendu très malheureux le père avec qui parle l'homme qui dit cette phrase.

According to the context, it seems to me that the process takes some time (getting married, having a child, getting a divorce). Alternative: "un cadeau empoisonné" ?
