I feel like I am missing something here, that "reason for consultation" is not accurate.
This is from a Mexican case-control study on CKD in primary care.
En México la ***primera causa de demanda de consulta ***en primer nivel es la HTA y, de acuerdo al modelo propuesto, existe el 34,8% de probabilidad con solo este factor, así mismo no se puede abandonar la vigilancia estrecha de los niveles de ácido úrico y realizar ajustes de manera oportuna10.
I think they mean that CKD-related monitoring etc takes up a lot of primary care consultation/time, rather than the patient´s "presenting complaint/reason for attendance".
