English term

snagging of the presidential suite

Non-PRO English to French Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering Travail de Gouvernante
hi
I'm translating a CV of Housekeeper. There is a line about the nature and duty of work which goes like this:
Coordinated with Projects for the snagging of the presidential suite
How to translate snagging in this context ?

Thanks

Discussion

writeaway Jun 8, 2016:
It's so vital to share context So it's not a tourism text! And you really should check the glossary before posting a question. It turns out that this term too was already there, more than once.
Tony M Jun 8, 2016:
@ Asker You see, you DID have more context — which certainly seems to confirm my hunch!

Captain Haddock (asker) Jun 8, 2016:
Yes, its definitely related to defects of the Hotel rooms.
look at this sentence:
• Conducting detailed snag reports, room checklists for fabric and upholstery approval.
writeaway Jun 7, 2016:
It's a housekeeper's CV And it sounds like work in a hotel. Not on a construction/renovation site.
Captain Haddock (asker) Jun 7, 2016:
Indeed Monsieur. As I said its a CV, I also have that much of context to work with. Anyway thanks.
Tony M Jun 7, 2016:
@ Asker In building construction, 'snagging' often refere to 'inspecting to find defects' (see previous glossary entries, possibly in the reverse language pair, for examples).

From the slim context given, it's a little difficult to quite know if that could apply here or not, since we don't know if perhaps some building or renovation work has been done on the P.S., creating a need for it to be isnepcted, including by a senior member of housekeeping staff, who might catch something other trades might have overlooked.

English term (edited): snagging

mise en place de réserves

Now that we have better context, confirming my original hunch, I think the key word you need here is 'réserves'. After that, you will need to find a formulation in FR that fits appropriately with the format of your CV, depending on whether you are using active verbs or nouns throughout, etc. For example, 'émission de réserves' etc., possibly with something like 'inspection pour...' etc.

As I said, there are several entreis already in the KudoZ archives for this, I have posted just 2 of them below which seem the most relevant.

I am assuming that the quite separate term 'presidential suite' isn't really giving you any problems here.

agree writeaway : great to see Bourth again. So checking the glossary was all that was really needed, yet again /I fell for the tourism category....

Thanks, W/A! Yup, as so often... and also, as so often, we didn't have all the context; luckily, I had a hunch...
disagree HERBET Abel : non, c'est une vérification de conformité
