@ CVD2008: ¡Ah, vale! Entonces, el tema se delimita un poco... (aunque tampoco es lo mismo un amigo de Tenerife, que un colega del País Vasco, ni un astur-leonés con acento bable, de un catalán o un chulapo de "Madríz"...) Pero ahora ya bromeo un poco. Si es un tipo de "español de España", tipo Radio Nacional de España, o cadena SER, o cadena Cope, entonces lo de "vertido", podría funcionarte. Aunque llevo viviendo en California más de 26 años, soy español de los del Barça y de la Roja..., de padres manchegos, y el "sello" o "marchamo" ibérico no me lo quita nadie... (espero) Saludos cordiales.

@ Asker, el "español se habla en 4 continentes", es lengua oficial de 19 países americanos: México, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panamá, Cuba, República Dominicana, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile y Argentina. Se habla también en Estados Unidos. En Europa, en España y Andorra. En África en Guinea Ecuatorial, y también en Marruecos y el Sahara. En Asia se habla en Filipinas y en Oriente Medio, en Israel. Es distinto traducir para México o traducir para España. Por ello, la pregunta de Victoria "¿A qué PAÍS está dirigida la traducción?" es muy importante. Con ánimo de ayudar. Saludos cordiales.

@ Eileen, thank you. My only intention is to help the asker. No need to "make my point". "Chorreón" is not conceptually incorrect, and it could work in a good natured context. Informal if you wish. The little context provided is in itself a very slippery ground. At any rate, have a good "finde".

@ Eileen, thank you. I do not live in Spain, but I know very well my native Spanish Castilian. For sure, Arguiñano (and many others) will use "chorreón" o "chorreoncito" and other good natured expression a chef or a cook will use. Yet, it is not the register for a "select" cocktail... //Yup, "correr" and "correrse" have the sexual meaning. "Correón" has nothing to do with that, for any Spanish native speaker.

Thanks for your posts. As this is about key elements to prepare cocktails I think I would not choose to use 'chorreón' in this specific case. Vertido is closer, but still looking for another option. Thanks again.

@ JohnMcDove You obviously do not live in Spain, where "chorreon" is frequently used by chefs on T.V. and other people too and it is not a "yokel" type of word at all. Try "Castellano" instead of other types of Spanish. "Correr" is Spanish is related to a guy finishing sex......

@ Eileen, I totally agree with your understanding of the original. "Chorreón", however sounds to me like a good option for a cooking context, and a somewhat "coarse" way of speaking, probably "good-natured", but it could have a "yokel" nuance. Of course, we don't have more context, but it seems to me that the register seems slightly more refined. No offense meant on my comments. Never heard of any other connotations for "correón", other than a big belt or strap. At any rate. Prosit!

Lo he escuchado mucho en Argentina trabajando en vinotecas y también lo encontré en varias páginas de bodegas argentinas. Implica todo el procedimiento de servirlo, como una temperatura adecuada, con ciertas copas, etc.
