Dear translators, I am English-Slovak translator and I have an orgchart of one Japanese company. On top of it is "Representative Executive Officer", then "President and Chief Executive Officer" and then "General Manager".
There is a name of signator of this orgchart, so I was able to google his name and on their webpage I found another orgchart of that company: "Chairman of the Board", then "President and Chief Executive Officer" and then "General Manager".
Can you please confirm that "Representative Executive Officer" is "Chairman of the Board" or can you please describe in English that position?
Many thanks

Representative Executive Officer
Hi Michael. In Japan, a KK (Kabushiki Kaisha – “Co. Ltd”) under Japanese law must appoint one or more Representative Directors or Representative Executive Officers to have authority to represent the company. They carry out board decisions and have the authority to represent the company in a public capacity. The Representative Director is a board member, so he is very often also the Chairman. Or he may be the CEO or President. It depends on the company in question. In the case you mention it looks like the position is Chairman of the Board, Representative Executive Officer.
