Dear all,
I am currently translating a case analysis that concerns child placement.
The text contains the following sentence:

Whilst the Local Authority do not envisage the child remaining in the UK, it is clearly premature to be seeking a definitive arrangement and I respectfully refer to the ***legal representations*** in this respect.
=====
It is not completely clear to me what is meant by "legal representations" in this particular case,
and how it is best rendered into Russian.
Could anybody help me out? :)

It is not quite clear from the context what the author means and what he is referring to. But my intuition tells me that here this expression refers to "judicial procedures", because it is in plural (legal representationS). I will take a risk to suggest "юридические формальности".
